Sustainable Building
We may have more than a century of construction experience behind us, but our sights are set on the future. At W. A. Klinger, we’re continually expanding our understanding of sustainable design and construction methods to meet the evolving needs of our clients and communities.
Our team includes LEED-accredited professionals with hands-on experience incorporating green building practices across a range of project types. We've contributed to LEED-certified facilities—including a manufacturing site and a wellness center on a local community college campus—and have worked with clients to implement sustainability goals at various certification levels. Our completed projects reflect an emphasis on energy efficiency, resource conservation, and long-term performance.
We're also proud to have played a key role in bringing Siouxland’s first Net Zero Energy facility to life: the Goodwill of the Great Plains Mission Support Building. The project demonstrates our ability to collaborate on innovative, high-performance solutions that align with forward-thinking organizational goals.
Even when formal certification isn’t pursued, we integrate sustainable systems and practices that drive down operational costs, boost building performance, and reduce environmental impact. Our approach prioritizes long-term value. From materials and mechanical systems to site orientation and envelope design, we help our clients make informed choices that serve their needs today—and stand the test of time.
