W.A. Klinger Assists Local Church After Damaging Fire

On July 10, a fire severely damaged historic St. Joseph Church in Sioux City.  Once the fire was extinguished, large black gaping holes and charred wooden timbers across the structure's 117-year-old roof led many to fear the worst for the beloved landmark.

The Diocese of Sioux City contacted W.A. Klinger for help as soon as it was safe to inspect the church.  One of the first tasks to be completed was an assessment of the extensively damaged roof's structural stability.  Once assessed, plans were drawn up to construct a temporary roof to protect the damaged and exposed structure from the elements.

Within 24 hours of receiving approval to proceed, W.A. Klinger crews began making the necessary temporary repairs to prevent further damage and lead the way to a successful, and much hoped for, restoration.
